A life in sound
Rhythm came first. Guitar became the voice.
Doug started on drums at four and taught himself guitar at ten. That early rhythmic foundation still shapes the way he writes, performs and teaches: feel comes before display, and every idea has to live in time.
After more than a decade in Austin, his musical life spans recording rooms, live stages, arrangement work and one-to-one coaching. Those are not separate careers. They are different views of the same craft.
